Spots

Here are a few spots for now, I'll be adding more in the next few weeks.

Memorial Hall

The memorial hall is the most well known spot in the town, this is often where us skaters meet and skate, its a fairly basic spot really, with a big 3 set, flat banks, walls, manual gaps, curbs, speed bumps gaps and drops.

The best thing to do if you want a descent session is to knick some wood and make run ups across the grass to drops and gaps or use it down the stairs for a decent flat bank, recently there have been hand rails put in down the stairs but there quite high and no one has attempted them yet.

Doctors Stairs

There is a fairly easy 4 set with rails either side and one in the middle, the are very fairly high and steep and as of yet no one has attempted them, there are also ledges either side which are quite small but still very steep, we have done nose slides and attempted 5-0's down the ledge but they are so steep.

King Arthur's Community School

This spot is very good for a decent session, its best skated at night because you do get kicked off but there have been odd occasions where we've been able to stay all day.

There is a very big 5 set in the front entrance with ledges either side, one has been waxed but we have never got it to grind properly, this is something we are going to do quite soon.

There are very long pick  knick benches out the front which are very good for tricks off them or for grinds or slides we usually put two together for a massive run up then an obstacle to do a trick over.

Round the side there is another big stair set next to a garage with a ledge a long it, which has also been waxed but not good enough.

Round the back there are some very big stair sets, two ten sets, one with medium stairs and  another with huge stairs, both with handrails and there is a roof gap in front of the hill with the hut on top, there is also a roof drop with a small gap.

This is probably the best spot in the town but we don't skate it too often because they do call the police out and we don't want it being skate stopped.

Coopers Underground Car Park

We only skate this spot when its wet because there is very little to skate in there, there is a flat bank but its not very steep and a fairly high curb which is waxed and another small curb which is waxed, there is two manual gaps, ones tiny and one is a nice size.

Rochfords RIP

This spot has been completely torn down now, they are building housing but I don't know whether there will be anything to skate in there.

Wincanton County Primary School

This spot has a lot of flat smooth ground with benches a couple of 2 sets, they have built a little play area with climbing equipment so there could be something to skate there, but we usually get kicked out by teachers, the only time u can skate for any length of time is Sundays.

Trading Estates

Just the other day I was Skiving a lesson at school and decided to walk down to Safeways, the quickest way to it was through a field and then through a trading estate, so I walked down and noticed a wall, its about a deck high one side and 3ft the other, so one night I went down on my bike and  found a few other little bits there, just look round the trading estates, you'll find loads of stuff to ride, and there's 2 trading estates I think.

More Spots to come.
